While a peacoat is more stylish, a puffer is sometimes the only thing that will cut it. The key with a puffer is to not let it get too puffy- you should wear the jacket, not the other way around. Try to find one that has a compact filling so you don’t look like your holding 50 pounds of water weight… Keep colors simple - black, navy, hunter green, etc. Try and steer clear of patterns.</p> <p>J.Crew has a great option (pictured above) for $128. Then I calmed down - there was no way that my Aunt Lata (Emma’s mom) would remember that Emma didnt’ get any gifts from my mom… right? Wrong. Fast forward a week. I open gmail and there’s an email on the family list serve. It was from my aunt announcing that it was time for Secret Santa again and that this year everyone should be sure to actually give presents as to not ruin a childs’ Christmas… That wouldn’t have been that bad if she hadn’t added in parenthesis, “(That’s for you Debbie)” That’s when I knew I was screwed…</p> <p>Before I could read the email twice I got a call from my mom.
